Alan, a young failed actor, leaves to try his luck in Hollywood. His goal? To direct his own film, in the heart of the Mecca of Cinema. Not so easy, especially when you don’t speak a word of English!

There was only one solution: to recruit a team of French people living on site. Actors, technicians, artists of all kinds… Who are these expatriates who have managed to make a living from their passion in Los Angeles?

As he meets them, Alan will discover their daily lives, their stories, their feelings. Sources of inspiration, these often colorful individuals will advise him and, little by little, will give themselves up to him.

The problem is that Alan’s quirky, mild-mannered personality will put him in unlikely and uncomfortable situations that could jeopardize his dream. How can you become a star in Hollywood when you’re such a loser?
